Dearest Friend of the Festival,
From May 27 - June 1, 2026, authors and journalists will descend on the Central Coast for author talks, headliner conversations, literary readings, storytelling soirees, writing workshops and more, all illuminated by the theme: Take The Time.
We hope you can take some time with us this year to share in a toast to the opening of the 2026 Words on the Waves Program, and to our supporters who made it all possible.

Time: 5pm - 6pm
Venue: Ocean Beach SLSC, 176 The Esplanade, Umina Beach NSW 2257
Invite only, RSVPs essential. Please RSVP by MAY 22.
Please note: Launch Drinks will be followed by a SOLD OUT Story Club in the same venue, with doors for that event opening at 7pm. You are welcome to stay and mingle while our wonderful team of Volunteers set up for Story Club, otherwise we recommend kicking on across the road at Margarita Daze.
