Welcome aboard the annual Words on the Waves Literary Cruise, where the currents slide by and stories wash over you in a celebration of literature and the beauty of our waterways.
In 2026 this much-loved event is back better than ever. Our storytelling sailors include Lisa Wilkinson AM, who will share the never-before-told true history of the only Australian-born survivor of the sinking of the Titanic. She will be joined by Chris Hammer – a man known for his compelling crime fiction – who has turned his attention to the allure of Eastern shores of Australia in his book The Coast. And finally Western Australian poet and researcher Prema Arasu will titillate with tales of the deep sea from her lushly illustrated title The Book of Sea Monsters.
It promises to be a truly salty affair you won’t want to miss.
